Information collected
When you request or manage a walk, I collect your name, email, phone number, pickup or meeting address and service area; dog names and count; care, health and behavior notes you choose to provide; emergency contact name and phone; optional veterinarian/clinic and phone; consent confirmations; selected plan, dates, times, prices, status and package balance. Booking references, private-link tokens in hashed form and sign-in records support access to your walks. Do not submit payment-card details, government IDs or unnecessary sensitive information. You should have permission to provide another person’s emergency contact details.
Technical information and cookies
The site uses essential customer and admin sign-in cookies, normally lasting up to eight hours, plus security measures such as request tokens and rate limiting. Hosting infrastructure may process IP addresses, request times, browser information and security/error logs to deliver and protect the site. There are no advertising, analytics or session-recording integrations. This site does not track users across third-party sites; Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control do not enable any advertising or analytics tracking.
How information is used
I use information to review requests, confirm and deliver walks, arrange pickup and emergency care, manage unused package walks, send transactional emails, respond to enquiries, protect accounts and resolve service or payment questions. Booking information is not used for unrelated advertising. Customer booking records and dog names are not published on the site.
Service providers and sharing
I do not sell or rent customer information, and I do not share it for advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising. Limited processing is necessary through the hosting/database provider (Netcup) and the transactional email provider (Checkdomain). A veterinarian or emergency contact may receive information needed for urgent care. Information may also be disclosed when legally required or reasonably necessary to protect safety or resolve a legal claim. The linked DMV calendar exchanges limited scheduling information to avoid double bookings; it does not expose your customer contact details or care notes through its schedule views. Clicking an external Instagram or other third-party link takes you to a service with its own privacy policy.
Storage periods
Routine booking, contact, dog-care and emergency-contact records are normally deleted or anonymized 24 months after your last walk or related service activity. Where you still have an open booking, unresolved request or unused package walks, the relevant records are kept until that matter is resolved, with the 24-month period measured from the latest relevant activity. Records specifically needed for a legal obligation, accounting requirement or active dispute may be held longer for that purpose only. Expired sessions are removed. Sent email bodies and recipient fields are removed from the application outbox after delivery. Deleted records may remain in restricted backup copies until normal backup rotation; they are not used for ordinary service and retention is reapplied after restoration.
Access, corrections and deletion
Call 650 468 0042 to ask for access, corrections or deletion. Identify the booking privately; do not post your booking number publicly. I may verify your identity before responding, using only information reasonably needed. I review deletion requests alongside open walks, unused package credits and any records that must be retained. If I cannot delete a record, I will explain the reason and restrict its use to the necessary purpose. Requests for the privacy of an emergency contact are handled through the same process.
Security and policy changes
Account access is restricted, private booking credentials should not be shared, and the production site uses HTTPS. No website can guarantee absolute security. Material changes are posted here with a new effective date; where appropriate, affected customers will be contacted using the details on their booking.
